AgraFilms achieves DARPA ERIS “Awardable” status
AgraFilms earned “Awardable” status on DARPA’s ERIS Marketplace for its Dicty-based biofilm defense platform, enabling rapid award consideration by U.S. government customers.

We are harnessing the natural predatory behavior of Dicty amoebae to strengthen plants against bacterial threats and ensure reliable, safe food production.

Bacterial diseases cause significant losses in agriculture, especially when they persist in protective biofilms that conventional pesticides can't break through. Our technology turns anti-biofilm compounds produced by Dictyostelids into a novel solution for safeguarding crops. By harnessing these natural predators and their evolved ability to hunt and digest microbes, AgraFilms delivers a sustainable approach to plant protection that avoids toxic run-off, reduces chemical reliance, and ensures healthier harvests.

Get to know the passionate team driving our mission. At AgraFilms, we unite expertise in agriculture, microbiology, and sustainability - backed by deep specialization in amoebic biocontrol. Guided by a shared vision, we are developing breakthrough technology that targets harmful crop-associated bacteria, offering farmers a safer, more precise alternative to conventional chemical treatments and protecting harvests without toxic run-off or residue.

USPTO granted AgraFilms patent US11864559B2. This patent overcomes the limitations of existing chemical and biocontrol products for treating or preventing potato soft rot by providing compositions comprising amoebae that feed on, and neutralize, bacteria responsible for soft rot. The compositions and methods provide an effective and non-toxic approach for treating and preventing soft rot in potatoes.
